This song was originally released in 1990 and re-released in 2011 in the UK it seems. "The Supremes" were really ladies who had been in the Supremes (Jean Terrell, Scherrie Payne, Lynda Laurence) and the 1990 members of the Originals. Fun fact - Levi Stubbs brother, Joe, was a member of the Originals but apparently not at this time - in other words, he was an original Original.


It was both a Northern Soul hit as well as a recent Carolina beach music hit (but done by other artists (see below)).


Steve in the UK had an opinion of the song which I think means he liked it.



Look at this very cool copy of the 45 issued by the Wax Museum in Charlotte. I don't see a year on the 45. ☹️
