Whoa! I just learned that Elvin Bishop did not sing "Fooled Around And Fell In Love." It was sung by a backup singer in the band -- Mickey Thomas. If you watched too much MTV as I did, you'll recognize Mister Thomas as the lead singer of Jefferson Stsrship (and then Starship). He was born in Cairo, Georgia, which may help explain the soul in his voice?
