Up to some point, I think I assumed that I was the only person who was having the reaction I was having. Eventually I realized that there was a whole spectrum of reactions people have -- but I still had an assumption that people outwardly showed their emotions. Finally I've learned to be curious and ask to "check my assumptions." The evolution of an introvert?
