Falling Behind
Hidden Hills, California
December 27, 2022
I have so much to write about that I have experienced over the past few days. From my drive from Mammoth Lakes to Bishop, from Bishop to Lone Pine and all that I did (and did not do) there -- the town of Lone Pine, Alabama Hills, Mount Whitney and the LA Aquaduct (the did not is go to Death Valley).
Lack of internet service since Bishop has been a culprit!
After experiencing sunrise in Lone Pine, I headed toward LA on Christmas Eve as my sister and brother-in-law invited me to spend Christmas Day with them, their three kids and spouses and their six grandkids. Christmas Eve at the Loves Truck Stop in Tehachapi afforded me the opportunity to shower and shave Christmas morning. Before heading to my sister's, I visited my last Paris which I thought was a fun way to spend Christmas morning. My drive from Paris to Hidden Hills took me through Arvin, California which to me was way too funny. Remember the Chipmunks' Christmas song where Arvin is the misbehaving chipmunk??
Seeing all my sister's family was incredibly special -- Hallmark could not have scripted a better Christmas celebration.
Cindy and Ken invited me to stay a few more days which is incredibly generous. Their home is beautiful, their dogs are so fun and the horses are wonderful.
Long way of saying I have a lot of blog posts catching up to do!!
