I had to vacate my campsite in Guerneville this morning as it is sold out for Memotial Day Weekend. I head west on State Route 116 to Jenner and then took the PCH to Ocean Cove Csmpground. The trip took about a whole hour. I was at this campground last weekend. I’m not a big fan of repeating myself but this campground is first-come, first-served so by getting here early on Thursday I was able to secure a campsite through the weekend. $30 per night with ocean view thrown in for free. Glad I came here this morning as there weren’t many available sites — and I had no plan B.
These guys close up when the sun goes down.
Along the way I drive through the tiny town of Monte Rio. For a town that small, it sure had a lot of photo opportunities!
It is still windy at Ocean Cove which I suspect it always is with the ocean temperature in the low 50s and the air temperature in the 70s. It is quite peaceful here. How windy is it?
