Found this treasure (at least to my eyes) in the local 5 and dime store. It cost $8.99. Inflation. Did you know that the cumulative US inflation rate since 1959 is approximately 820 percent? Another fun fact - if you had invested $100 in the S&P 500 in 1959, you would have ~ $41,000 today (assuming reinvested dividends). $10,000 and you’d be on Easy Street — unless you live in California! 🤪
