Buddy and I visited this landmark this morning. The light wasn’t great — the sun was rising just to the right of the signs. I took some photos but decided to try again later in the day. I think you’ll see that was a good decision.
When I returned in the afternoon, there was a woman working in her yard adjacent to the signpost. Her yard was filled with unusual objects such as a large Buddha statue, a British telephone booth and carved black bears. I was surprised when she told me that she and her husband had not put up the signpost, that "it was here when we moved here 20 years ago. Seems that no one knows who put it up."
I'm glad it wasn't hers. Because the signpost could also include Lebanon, Belfast, Belgrade, Athens, Rome, Vienna, New Canada and a host of cities in the UK.
I was trigger happy and am too tired to just pick one or two photos. So…
