"Sun Over My Shoulder"

I'm debating whether to add this metaphor to my list.


As I review my photos, there's no doubt that most of my favorite photos are when the sun is low on the horizon and behind me ("over my shoulder.") You can't beat that alignment for increasing your odds of taking a good photo. Mid day sun is better than no sun, but it tends to wash out the image. As I have repeated, cloudy days are tough for me both emotionally and for taking photos -- the grayness can add to the "feel" of the photo but I'll take a sunny day every time.


So what would the metaphor mean? It would mean that everything is going well and looking good.
