Thanks, Don! Roland Gift

My friend Don mentioned Roland Gift in his comment on my post on Northern Soul. Roland Gift was the lead singer of the Fine Young Cannibals. I think the above song may be the last one they recorded (1996). It may not be a good Northern Soul tune, but it certainly is a great beach music song!

And while I am posting great beach music, here is one from Meyer Hawthorne. Not sure what a gun battle has to do with the song but it makes for an interesting video. 🤣

Meyer Hawthorne also did another version of "The Walk"with the British duo Rizzle Kicks. Pardon the language. Those Brits! No guns involved.
