How often do my days just roll one into another? Often. It's like I am on autopilot, not stepping back from my rush, rush, rush and just plowing headlong into my to do list.

Last week I was rentruced to the word "intention." It's a very important word in meditation. An intention serves as an explicit reminder before beginning a meditation. For me, my intentions tend to be phrases such as be curious, be kind to myself, be open to new ways.

It occurred to me that having such an explicit intention at the beginning of my day can serve as a reminder to me and help me break the cycle of day after day just passing by, accomplishing some goals but bring on autopilot.

We'll see how it works.
