Does the harm Twitter does outweigh its benefits? In my mind the answer is completely. Shut it down. Twitter will always contain hate, misinformation, and disinformation. It is social media porn.

I can't believe Musk is spending his time on this issue. No matter what he does, he will not solve Twitter's problems. The shareholders of his other companies must be pissed (I am one and I am.)

What he is trying to do is have a forum where all information is given equal weight. That's not life. And certainly Twitter is not the place to resolve which information is correct -- especially scientific information.

Thr only winners here are Twitter shareholders that he bought out. And the politicians who are blathering on about the First Amendment (which of course doesn't apply here).

Or.....

Remove the legal protections that exist for social media, gun manufacturers, nuclear power, etc. it ain't a free market if there are laws to hold companies harmless and/or limit their liabilities. Folks on the left and right I bet can agree on that. Why does our government interfere in the risk-reward equation? (We all know why.)
