I am attempting to channel my energy into areas I can have some influence — in other words, I am finding ways to spend my time other than reading the WSJ and NYT.


Coursera is a wonderful platform where I have learned new subjects in the past. I signed up for a new course today on climate change. The class is from the Univerdity of Michigan. The syllabus lays out the above ground rules for online discussions. How refreshing that we are encouraged to communicate like civilized human beings!!


I must admit the sarcastic being inside of me wondered how many people would see these ground rules as infringing on their free speech and criticize Go Blue for woke ideology. I think the ground rules are awesome.
