Unless Congress, in its infinite lack of wisdom, reinstates tax credits for wind farms, as of 01.01.2022 we've entered a new era where new onshore wind farms starting construction after that date will not receive any tax credits. Offshore wind farms have until 12.31.2025 to start construction to qualify for a separate tax credit. I was honored to work on the first offshore project that was completed in the US (off Block Island) and one that unfortunately was never completed (Cape Wind). Dominion has a 12 MW demonstration project off the Virginia cost and is developing a 2,600 MW in the same area.
