I am still ticked by how often my assumptions are incorrect. Assumptions about places, people, success. It seems id be better off not making assumptions, but I buy into the theory (hypothesis? concept?) that we (our minds) are hardwired in ways that we either can’t control or aren’t aware of. Making assumptions falls into that category for me because they are a way of protecting ourselves from the bear around the corner that wants to eat us.

This morning I am also debating myself on the role of luck in our lives. I do believe in luck. But can we do things to enhance our luck or is luck just something we stumble upon — or not?
