I didn't read much until this week about what's been going on in Portland and more recently in Seattle. I figured those events are 2,000 miles away, and I already have enough that I am thinking about. But I gave in this week.
The violence and vandalism frustrate me. They serve no constructive purpose and completely distract from the original purpose of the protests. I assume the folks who commit the "double V's" are frustrated. I might be, too, if I were there, and I saw the Feds show up. But perhaps the double V folks could take some advice from TJ. And then from Bob Newhart -- Stop it!
I really do not know how to say this, Lucian, in a tactful way . . . so let be simply be blunt -- the Antifa and Anarchists are not frustrated; they are doing what they are doing on purpose, with a religious zeal and fervor, for their religion says that the Country and the Economic System that we currently have has to be completely and utterly destroyed before they can build the Utopia that they envision. It is as simple as that....
