Thanks to my friend Chuck for sharing these Peanuts’ words of wisdom with me. Mr. Schultz’s magic was that whether you were 5 years old or 105 years old, there was something in each cartoon that made you smile.

Peanuts is a world long gone where people smile, pranks are good natured, friendship is valued, adversity is quietly conquered, false outrage does not exist, simple things matter, hatred is unknown, acceptance of differences is real, where we can laugh at ourselves with others, happiness achieved, and life is treasured. It is a place we want to be, but somehow can’t find in the real world except for a few fleeting moments. Isn’t it strange when humans are children they want so badly to be grownups?
