So I heard a Fox News analyst (last name Kudlow) say if Congress does not pass these tax cuts that the US will fall into a RECESSION!! He stated this like it is obvious. Well, it’s not to me. I’m sure someone can contort an argument to support that statement but it sure seems to me not passing the tax cuts will help reduce the deficit — but even they won’t reduce the debt!

Oh, right, tax cuts help the economy grow. We’ve heard that since Teagan. Maybe when tax rates are very high but not when they are too low already.

The only issue that should be on the table are spending cuts AND tax increases. And how come no one is going after the “waste, fraud and abuse” of the Defense Department. I bet we could easily find $300 billion of waste, fraud and abuse in that agency.
