Golf At The Cavalier Country Club

Fun course. Not that hard— except for the swirling 20-25 mph winds.


I spoke with the owner. The season is roughly April 15 to maybe October 15. End of season tournament is mid September.


Course was in great shape. Greens were turtle back and fast. Ball rolled true.


Owner said he used to be a farmer of 1500 acres. He said to make it today you need 15,000 to 20,000 acres. He said those farmers are basically corporations. He added that they do well financially in part due to subsidies from the government. I need to understand more about that.
