What he only briefly touched on there is that some natural gas often comes up with the oil and water, In the olden days, they simply burned the gas off at the well head. I didn't know any of this when I drove west from VA to Kansas in the early 1980s and saw hundreds of tiny flames burning in the night across southern IN, IL, and through much of KS.... Now they must collect it, too.
