Humbled

Lawson’s Landing Campground

Dillon Beach, California

May 21, 2021

I have been hanging out at my campsite (I moved from 120 to 242) being buffeted by the winds and listening to music and an audiobook. The group beside me, which seems to be composed of two generations has been busy preparing a meal.

One of young men approached me with a plate of a t-bone steak and cucumber sticks. He said was a gift from his family. Holy cow! I couldn’t decline so I made sure to cut the steak into extremely small pieces. The steak had been marinated and was so tender. It was delicious!

I am humbled by their generosity. Wow. I’m speechless.
