Bend, Oregon

June 30, 2021

Cping in Deschutes National Forest was dusty. I came to Walmart in Bend this morning to buy a couple of gallons of water to clean myself off. I went into the far end of the lot, took off my shirt snd rinsed off and shaved. I feel incrementally better. I looked for a float in Walmart so I could hope in the River later but empty shelves.

So now I am off to wash the car, do laundry, visit the Deschutes brewery (it is like the Coors brewery in Golden — right in town) and then go hang out by the river. Looks like this Walmart does not allow overnight parking - bummer. Still debating where to stay tonight. It may not be in the dusty boondocks.

Truck stops are great. But they tend to be where trucks drive. I have only seen one in months — that was in Madras. And now I know tubing is a great way to freshen up!
