After being focused on passing 400,000 miles on my odometer for the past few months, this morning I zoned out and missed the big event. Bummer.

Several of the photos above are from Townville, South Carolina. Funny name.

Townville is an unincorporated community in Anderson County, South Carolina. Townville is located on South Carolina Highway 24, 14.8 miles west-northwest of Anderson. Townville has a post office with ZIP Code 29689, which opened on December 13, 1836.

Townville boasts a unique history. Originally founded as Brownville by Samuel Brown, the town had to be renamed when a post office was established, as South Carolina already had a town with that name. Thus, the name Townville was chosen.
