I’m watching some YouTube videos about the development of Apple computers and IBM PCs in the early 1980s. Soon after starting work in August 1981, I became the guinea pig for using an IBM PC and Lotus 1-2-3 to manage my company’s uranium inventory.  Harvard Graphics, too, to draw graphs.

Excel came along while I was in business school.  I had forgotten how Microsoft developed Excel for use on Apple computers not on those running the Microsoft operating system.

This is all by way of saying how asleep I was not to realize that I should invest in Apple and Microsoft in the mid to late 80s if not before.  Would have created some wealth!  Of course hindsight is 20-20 but it would not have taken much foresight to hop on those horses.

(By 1990, IBM, Harvard Graphics and Lotus 1-2-3 had been left in the dust.)
