Manzanita, Oregon

July 17, 2021

If you just read the following Wikipedia entry on Manzanita, you might get the impression this is a just another small village along the Oregon coast. That would miss what Manzanita really is. It is a thriving resort community with a number of luxury family rental houses. I'd say the population of the town is probably between 3,000 and 4,000 people this week. It has a wide, wide white beach with lovely dunes. The main street has local stores that fit with a higher-end clientele. If you did not know you were in Oregon, you would swear you were in a New England seaside resort.

Before reading the facts on Manzanita from Wikipedia, this website gives you a good overview of what I have seen. If I were in the market, I would be tempted to buy a rental property here.
