Likely the last morning report for a bit as I'm in Charlottesville. But who knows? Maybe it's a habit I can't quit?
Arrived in town last night and had dinner with my Charlottesville family -- the Harris', Koesters and Craigmiles. I am humbled that they were glad to see me. A wonderful evening. Memories of when there were eight of us but that's my problem.
There is a big comfort factor here for me which might explain my push pull with living here. I've gotten so used to being "uncomfortable" that I don't want to fall into the routine of being comfortable. That's also on me.
Glad to see Walmart is still here -- slept really well with temperatures in the 30s. Got my blood drawn at 7 am this morning in support of my almost annual physical. Looks like my cholesterol is still good -- although at 41 my HDL remains on the low end of ok. Always been there.
It was strange walking into Marta Jefferson. I had flashbacks. And then on the wall in the lab there was a painting -- an attempt at the paintings that Wendy did/does with a scene of a hand, with some Jefferson cups. Not in the same league as Wendy's -- not even close.
Today UVa plays Carolina in the ACC Tournament. I feel like the tournament doesn't mean as much to me as it used to although I still have fond memories of the three times I attended. For a life-long Wahoo fan, those were bucket list trips.
