Moonrise

After this mornings failed attempt to capture the moon, I was determined to do better with the moon tonight. I downloaded an app to my phone that told me when and where the moon was going to rise this evening. I broke out my tripod and practiced with ,manually focusing the camera.
The planning paid off. I was in the right place at the right time. The first few photos are of a red moon as it was passing through the smog. My position did not allow me to get much of the city of Boulder under the moon; perhaps tomorrow evening.
The slideshow is only 2 1/2 minutes long and kind of boring with just shots of the moon. I do kind of like the last couple of photos which I took a stoplight (duh). But I feel as though I accomplished my mission for the evening which was to get better photos of the moon. Now I know how to do it.
