In the late 1970s through the mid 1980s, United Technologies ran a series of full-page ads in the Wall Street Journal that never mentioned UT or its products, but instead provided words of wisdom and inspiration. The ads were written by UT's CEO Harry Gray. I kept a copy of some of them in my desk drawer; Lord knows where they are now. I searched the internet to try and find the ads. I got lucky - somebody else remembered the ads and did all the work to pull them together in one place. They are located at https://jborden.com/
The following are my favorite ones (including the one above which is my personal favorite). Remember these were written in the late '70s and early '80s so some of the references may be a bit dated.
