You might know I have this thing for classic old movie theaters.
When I saw that the Byrd Theater in Richmond was showing Rear Window this afternoon (yesterday), I jumped in Hi Ho Silver and made my way to the Carytown neighborhood in Richmond. I was surprised by how many people had the same thought as I did - seeing Grace Kelly on the big screen was a good antidote for a cold day.
The Wurlitzer "pregame" pertormance was awesome.
My point? The Byrd is an hour from Charlottesville and well worth the drive - and strolling in Carytown and the Fan is a lot of fun, too!
great movie. perhaps Buddy would have enjoyed the trip?
