The 30 miles drive from Richey, Montana to Citcle, Montana is one incredibly straight drive. On MT-200. What struck me more was that I don’t think there were any intersections. The roads in eastern North Dakota are straight but there is more of a grid design.

Herb showed me photos of the Northern Lights from last night and recommended an app for me to use. Maybe tonight!

Oil is transported from the Bakken region by both pipeline and rail. Best i can figure, no more than 50 percent by pipeline although finding recent numbers is difficult. A rail car can hold 600 barrels. Reminds me of how Rockefeller got started!

Circle, Montana is the remote place from a Starbucks in the 48 states.

I’m sure I am forgetting things I wanted to remember!
