Paris, Indiana

August 24, 2021

When you type in "Paris, Indiana" into Google Maps it displays New Paris, Indiana which is in the northern part of the state. Somehow I stumbled onto the fact that there is a cemetery in "Old Paris," Indiana and that is where I was headed yesterday. I thought I might find some reference to Paris there. Instead I found a place with a road sign indicating a place named Paris as I was looking for this cemetery. A wonderful surprise!

The cemetery is quite old as you can tell from the tombstones. Some of the graves are for young children which is quite sad, but I suppose not unusual for the time.

I don't usually take photos in cemeteries. I made an exception this time because of the age of the cemetery and because it was my key to finding Paris.
