Charlottesville is a uniquely special place in how in brings together so many appealing sights, experiences and people. Many towns would have put the events of August 11 and 12, 2017 in their rearview mirrors. Not here -- we should never forget.
I am not sure why we should never forget. What happens when you keep picking at the scab of a past wound? It never has the chance to heal. Were not those very monuments the embodiment of the "Never Forget" mentality? Why should we keep retelling only one version of a significant event? We will have to agree not to agree on this one....
