I am not sure why we should never forget. What happens when you keep picking at the scab of a past wound? It never has the chance to heal. Were not those very monuments the embodiment of the "Never Forget" mentality? Why should we keep retelling only one version of a significant event? We will have to agree not to agree on this one....
