Walmart Parking Lot

Williston, North Dakota

September 12, 2024, 745 AM


I returned to Williston from Theodore Roosevelt National Park yesterday as I was craving certainty. I knew in Williston I could get my cod dinner at Culver’s and find a quiet area at Walmart for the night. I was so tired that I fell asleep at 630 PM for a couple of hours.


It has been a struggle finding some background noise to help me fall asleep. An audiobook? A process? A YouTube documentary or comedy? White noise? I used to fall asleep to baseball games — but I can’t do that any more. It triggers to many memories.
