Goose Creek RV and Campground ($21 cash)
Wilbur, Washington
September 26, 2024, 720 AM
A bit chilly this morning. Feet got cold in the night.
Yesterday closed out with high winds (40 mph), thrn rain then getting cold. Campground owner said I could sleep in my truck (they prefer tents and RVs). That was a big help.
It felt good to stay at the same campground two nights in a row. I’m noticing that it is less hard on me to have someplace to call base even if it is for just two nights.
Doing laundry now after taking a shower. Two showers in three days? I won’t recognize my self!
Heading toward North Cascades today. At least that is the intent. Nine hole golf course here that I want to play but I may be better off practicing in order to fix my swing. Without fixing it I will just keep swinging over the top.

Breakfast at Doxie’s Diner in Wilbur. I skipped the cheese that would have thrown this breakfast into cardiac arrest territory. I’ll give it a B- on the health scale — but it’s better than my usual C- breakfast on the Road. I really do miss my egg whites and chicken sausage with a strawberry, banana and blueberry smoothie.
A note about Doxie’s. You can tell a lot about a town by what news channel they have playing on the televisions in their restaurants. Doxie’s was on ABC News. Interesting.
