Tough game for the Duke women's soccer team today against Alabama. Duke led at halftime 1-0. In the second half, Alabama was very quick with its counters but the Devils turned them away -- until the 90th minute when they scored from a scrum in front of the net.
1-1.
The gals had an autograph session after the game. I was able to get a Duke soccer ball signed by all 25 women. I wonder who will get the ball??
I left home at 645 AM and walked back in the door at 830 PM. I had an episode of dysphagia on the way home -- its when food gets stuck in the esophagus. Actually started with a hot dog at the game. Still feeling the effects 18 hours later. Bummer.
Notes:
On my way down to Durham I drove through South Boston and Roxboro. That represents at least the fourth different route I've taken to/from Durham. Who says I am stuck in my ways?
I spoke with the Alabama photographer at halftime. He was shooting two Nikons with telephoto lens. Yes, camera and lens envy. He was shooting at 10 frames per second -- said some newer cameras shoot at 100 frames per second. He shoots between 4,000 and 5,000 photos per game. Crazy. He has an app that flags out of focus photos so he can weed them out. It takes him around five hours to select the photos to keep and to edit them in Lightroom.
I'd love that job!
