I enjoy reading and analyzing the trip journals that the NYT publishes every now and then. It makes me wonder what I could create from the photos, observations, themes and thoughts from my walkabout. Who knows?
This article reminded me of how much you can tel about a town by its old downtown, especially its movie theater. How buildings that were once grand statements of prosperity have found other uses later in their lives. And how old gas stations are almost always a good photo subject - perhaps because all of us of a certain age can project on the photo what the station must have looked like in its heyday. Same goes for old hotels. And old churches - they always show the pride the community had in their building of faith.
You won'd those old structures here in Sedona.

You CERTAINLY could do much better than that fellow!!!! Need an editor?
