Steamboat Lake State Park

Today’s drive did not take me very far. After a delicious lunch of a spinach salad with strawberries, blueberries and grilled salmon (hold the dressing - I just need my Omega-3s), I was ready to tackle the 42 minute journey up County Road129. Over those 42 minutes, I gained 1500 feet — I’m at an elevation of 8061 feet. It is sunny, 70 degrees with a steady wind that I would not want to play golf in. Tonight’s low is forecast to be 32 degrees. Toasty!
it appears that I’m within miles of the Wyoming border. But no road goes there from here.
