Stephen Colbert

I'm a fan of Mister Colbert. I understand that not everyone will agree with his political leanings. But he is a fellow South Carolinian -- and he has certainly done well for himself. He is married to a UVa graduate who is also from Charleston. In fact his wife's sister, who also went to UVa undergraduate and Darden, was roommates first year with a dear friend of mine. That's pretty close to name dropping. His dog, Benny, is a Boykin Spaniel which is the state dog of South Carolina.

What's my point? This interview with him is amazing. In Boston, they would say he is wicked smart. Not bad for a guy who went to Hamden-Sydney for two years (transferred to Northwestern).
