A classic skit. One of my favorites.

(If it were only that easy.)

The memory of this skit popped into my mouth as I scrolled through the various news apps on my phone. Such crappy (that’s the nicest word I can come up with) news. I either disagree with much of what’s going on politically or don’t understand current events — such as why tariffs haven’t yet hit the US economy as hard as I thought they would.

It is easy to think the people in charge today are evil. At least vindictive. Perhaps that and don’t share my values (compassion, kindness, honesty) and understanding (climate change, need for regulations, stupidity and irony of government equity stakes).

I do get very emotional about the state of our country — the Divided States of America.

Each day I scroll through my news apps and believe that the state of the DSA is only getting worse. I’ve got to follow Bob Newhart’s advice and just stop … looking at the news.

One more thing though. With the consolidation of power going on in DC, I am a strong advocate for returning power to the states. If a state wants to support EV’s, go for it. If a state is a net taker of funds from the Federal government, stop it (it is a fact the blue states subsidize red states).

Ok, I’m at a 9 on the anger scale. I’m going to dial it back now and listen to some Temptations — the early years not the psychedelic years!
