Chicago Union Station

I arrived here about one hour ago on the California Zephyr. I'm now in the "Metropolitan Lounge" waiting for my next train -- the Floridian which will take me from Chicago to Richmond -- leaving at 625 PM and scheduled to arrive in Richmond at approximately 4 PM tomorrow.

I'm a bit stiff from the approximately 14 hour + 52 hour ride to Chicago from Los Angeles (excluding my brief (eight hour) overnight stay in San Francisco. I'm also a bit hyped about how I am going to document my trip. I've already posted some blogs but I haven't gotten into my photos and videos -- and I have quite a few of each. Hopefully I'll have the discipline this week to do that when I get back to Charlottesville.

This Metropolitan Lounge is quite nice with work spaces, relaxing couches and chairs, free snacks and free non-alcoholic drinks. Unforutunatelty I dove into those as I did not have lunch. Can't wait to hit the gym when I get back. Clearly, however, I still have not broken my sweet tooth. Crap.
