A good friend of mine recommended this 80 minute film to me. Perhaps you already know about Joseph Campbell. I did not. If you do not know of him, perhaps you have heard of the Hero's Journey. Strike 2 for me.



Here are some aphorisms from Mr. Campbell.








If you like these, I think you will enjoy the film. I found it inspiring and thought provoking. And as they say in the business world "actionable." In the first part, there is a discussion of the Hero's Journey. The latter part, through a series of interviews with many people you will recognize, focuses on how we can apply aspects of the Hero's Journey to our own lives.

Joseph Campbell had a huge impact on many disciplines in the late 1940s through the 1980s -- religion, sociology, ethics, philosophy..... Probably his most accessible work is The Power of Myth, which was a series of interviews he had with Bill Moyer just before Campbell's death in the late 1980s....
