Chickasha, Oklahoma

You could triple-dog-dare me and there is no way I couldn't publish all the photos I took last night. It truly was an experience I will always cherish. I arrived at 520 PM thinking that I would be early and could get some "clean" shots of the box and leg. Nope, the show had already started. There were carolers and people giving away hot chocolate. I'm pretty sure someone was handing out Santa hats to the kids (and some older people, too). There was a display of Daisy BB guns, along with some real guns since this is Oklahoma. It could have been 1955. There were older folks, teenagers, young kids, dogs -- I would guess there were 500 people there. There were talks by the politicians and local dancers and singers of A Christmas Story The Musical. I was eating it all up, waiting for the magic hour of 7 pm.
Mister Parker had it right -- it is indescribable beautiful.
Note, the moon is that white blob in some of the photos. I was trying to get it with the lamp -- I came close a couple of times.
