Isn't that an awesome sign? As I drove by this motel (and it is truly a motel where you park outside your room), I noticed how well maintained the property looked. As I was getting a turkey sub at Subway, I looked up the motel on Tripadvisor and it was rated between 4 and 5 circles. Turns out the current owners have had the property for 13 years and they are on the second round of improvements to each room. If this place were near a city, they could charge $250 per night; here, it's $99 for a king bed and $89 for a queen. The room I'm in is not large but it is bright and cheery and the mattress is just right.
So I ditched my plans to go to Carhenge and Cheyene today and am happy as can be in Room 21 at the Rocket Motel!
Old school key.

When was the last time you saw a sanitized strip across a toilet?

The low tonight is supposed to be 12 degrees. I have figured out that I can sleep in the truck at that temperature but I'm pretty worthless the next day. So I'm splurging again.
