I saw this sticker on a car in the parking lot of the Pantops Chick-fil-A. Made me think of how often I speed ahead through my days, not being present and mindful.
Is there anything more powerful than a smile and a “I love you”?
There’s so much anger, intolerance and hate in our society today.
The sticker made me think of this Coke commercial from 1971. While that was a difficult time, there seemed to be more hope and much less tribalism than today.
The word that sticks in my mind from the song is harmony. Gosh, wouldn’t it be nice if we could find some harmony in our country?
Monday was my ninth anniversary of my cardiac arrest. I still struggle with why me — not in terms of why it happened to me but why I survived. I’ve thought a lot about how these nine years have given me the opportunity to tap into my emotional self, a self that I was so uncomfortable with before. Hopefully now I am much less selfish, more caring, more compassionate, more curious, more tolerant of others and myself.
It’s been an emotional wanderabout, too. 😀
