Steve "Mr. Beach" Leonard. Blessed the airwaves of Central Virginia with his infectious enthusiasm and laugh for many years. Mr. Beach would often introduce tunes such as New York City's "I'm Doin' Fine Now" as a "train done gone song."
I thought it would be fun to go through my iTunes library and identify all my candidates for such a category. Some are obvious, others may not be so much. A work in progress. My first cut:
Note: I'm still debating the Manhattans' "Kiss and Say Goodbye" -- on the fence as it is such a slow song!
