Two notable fraternities gone!
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Two fraternities are being removed from the University of Virginia Grounds.
The university has terminated the Fraternal Organization Agreements for Kappa Alpha and Phi Gamma Delta.
This comes after both fraternities were investigated for hazing activities.
Examples of activities that have been determined to be hazing included requiring new members to carry specific items at all times and hitting new members with coat hangers.
UVA says the national organizations of these chapters can petition to re-colonize the university after four years.
Regarding the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, five students were also referred to the University Judiciary Committee.

Social fraternities and sororities have no place in a woke institution of higher learning. The administration at UVA under Teresa Sullivan moved quickly to punish the entire fraternity system when a Rolling Stone story about sexual harassment and rape was printed, without verifying the story. It turned out the story was made up yet the damage was done. No apology for the administration ignoring any form of due process. It was the beginning of a process for which there can only be one end.
OMG. many of the items identified are considered hazing - calling pledges goats? cleaning up the house? setting up before and after parties. getting beer for brothers? wow have times changed. i wonder whether Ethyl asking me to get cigarettes for her was hazing (BTW i always did gladly) ?
