BLS’s August 2025 employment numbers. They will be so beautiful that you would almost think Trump made them up. Which he probably will.

I heard a money manager today say the August numbers would absolutely be positive. The Bloomberg interviewer asked how he was so sure. To paraphrase his answer “you even have to ask that question?”

Until this administration I believe we had dedicated public servants who went to work each day to do a great job and get the numbers right. These aren’t unmotivated, barely educated people. They are smart and dedicated.

At least that’s all they were.

Now they are scared. Just like Trump wants them to be.
