A reasonable effort by the WSJ to explain what is causing the inflation we are experiencing.
It leaves me wanting more detail though. Most economies in the world are experiencing inflation — it would have been useful to explain that.
Also, the Fed kept pumping money into the economy because it thought it had cut it off too quickly after 2008 (that recovery took six plus years).
Finally, a pie chart of estimated contributions to inflation by category would have been useful. The presentation would have gotten a B- at Darden for not including enough quantitative analysis. 🤪
