Why Is It Raining? Who Are All Of These People?

No, I did not take that photo. After navigating through Buffalo and Niagara Falls, I arrive at the Niagara Falls State Park at approximately 2 PM. I don’t know what I was expecting but it was not such a crowded place! And overtly touristy, complete with a Hard Rock Cafe. After sitting in traffic for 30 minutes, I joined the masses realizing that the parking lot was full. And then it started to rain — which it is expected to do for the next 48 hours. How much different is a photo of a natural wonder in the rain versus on a sunny day? Like 10,000th as good??

After driving away from the masses, I slowly formed a game plan. I will stay overnight in Niagara Falls and hit the park when it opens at 730 AM tomorrow. I updated my subscription to The Dyrt and discovered I can camp out overnight at Walmart in Niagara Falls. Seems that all the three-star hotels are charging north of $300 for tonight. I could use an air conditioned room and a shower but that will have to wait until tomorrow night when I expect to be in Canada.
