Woke

The meaning of “woke” has been corrupted. I believe in the definition above. I believe that we make assumptions about people we don’t know and often our assumptions are wrong. To me woke means I have the awareness to know when I am assuming something about someone and I have the compassion to check out my assumption. There are some bad characters out there. But way more often we can find common ground with others and treat each others with compassion.

Just because someone is different than me is no reason for me to treat them differently.
