Quite a bit of weather at the beach. When it is not raining, there is still heavy cloud cover. I probably don’t handle the weather as well as I could. Then again if were sunny the whole time I’d be burned to a crisp.

Listening to 1984 as an audiobook. Embarrassed to say that I have never read it. Seems topical. Thought control. Yeah.

Congresspeople make $175,000 per year and I suspect each one costs another $2 million in expenses. For how little they accomplish, we should pay them appropriately. Maybe $45,000 per year and a budget of $100,000? And zero from outside organizations. No freebies. Make them abide by the same ethics code that government employees do.

I’ve logged at least 13,000 steps each day since I’ve been here. Feels good. 17,000 steps yesterday. Goal for today is 18,000; at 11,200 at 2 PM.

More rain the next few days. “I bring my weather with me.”
